Whiteside Mountain House

Highlands, North Carolina
with Reggie Gibson, Architect

A mountain house along a former logging road in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  The house is an L-shaped pair of bars with the longer public spaces oriented perpendicular to the slope to heighten the engagement with the site.  The composition of the house heightens the experience of the dramatic site and creates settings for occupants to gather in direct engagement with the surrounding landscape.
